Lawrence Schuler Obituary

Lawrence Schuler, 85, passed away to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Schuler was born May 18, 1933 to Charles & Nancy Schuler in Girdner, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Lorri Schuler Jones; 2 brothers, Louis Schuler, Henry Schuler & 2 sisters, Edna May Davis & Elvina Richardson. Mr. Schuler is survived by his wife, Maria Garza of Donna, TX; 6 children, Nancy Schuler of Ava, MO, Larry Dean Schuler of Davenport, IA, Enrique Villanueva (Margie) of Weslaco, TX, Daniel Villanueva (Laura) of Donna, TX, Eddy Villanueva (Ruth) of Grandview, WA, Marissa Portillo of Donna, TX; 1 sister, Evelyn Pruitt of Topeka, KS & 1 granddaughter whom he raised, Larissa Lee Quintero. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren & numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 with a 4:00 p.m. Memorial Service. Officiating will be Rev. Ralph Hunt. Mr. Schuler will be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N. Texas Ave., Weslaco, TX (956) 969-1461.
