Obituary
Abel Muñoz Prado, 74, passed away to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Prado was born November 10, 1948, to Leonel & Reyes Prado, in Donna, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents and the mother of his children, Maria Raquel Prado. Mr. Prado is survived by his wife, Lydia Marroquin Prado; four children, Michelle Garcia (Leroy), Melissa Rosel (Alejandro), Abel Muñoz Prado, Jr., Melinda Prado; four stepdaughters, Melissa Cabrera (Alexandro), Sylvia Fonseca, Letty Flores Mata, Aida Camarillo (Angel); two sisters, Clara De Anda (Rey) and Estela Cisneros (Placido). Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service, Monday, July 17, 2023, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Angels. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N. Texas Ave., Weslaco, TX (956) 969-1461.
