Mercedes, TX - Alicia O. Gomez, 68, passed away to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Harlingen Medical Center.  Mrs. Gomez was born April 30, 1953, to Gilberto & Raquel Ortiz, in Coahuila Mexico.  She is preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister, Dinoa Ortiz.  Mrs. Gomez is survived by her husband, Juan Jose Gomez; 1 daughter, Lupita Gomez, of Mercedes, TX; 2 brothers, Gilberto Ortiz, of Alamo, TX, Jose Gerardo Ortiz, of Progreso, TX; & 2 sisters, Leticia Ortiz, of Weslaco, TX, & Yolanda Ortiz, of Mercedes, TX.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens.  Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
