Weslaco, TX – Amada G. Alanis, 89, passed away to be with the Lord on Monday, July 20, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Alanis was born March 29, 1931 to Cesario & Basilia Gonzalez in Arcabuz Tamaulipas Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Humberto Alanis, Sr.; 4 brothers, Fidel Gonzalez, Conferino Gonzalez, Alonzo Gonzalez, Homero Reyna Gonzalez & 6 sisters, Florentina Gonzalez, Elodia Peña, Evangelina Garza, Ester Gonzalez, Elvira Garza & Ofira Garcia. Mrs. Alanis is survived by 6 sons, Humberto Alanis, Jr. (Otilia), Hector Alanis, Pablo Alanis (Idalia), Hedilberto Alanis, all of Weslaco, TX, Raul Alanis (Rachael) of Sharyland, TX, David Alanis (Maria D.), of Raymondville, TX & 5 daughters, Virginia Garza (Jose Omar), Alicia Cortez (Arturo), Yolanda Garcia (Sergio), Nelia Garza (Francisco Javier) & Hilda Garza (Senaido, Jr.), all of Weslaco, TX. Also surviving are 32 grandchildren & 42 great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jose O. Garza, Jr., Humberto Cortez, Humberto Alanis III, Javier Treviño, Edgar Garza, Senaido H.
