Weslaco, TX – Benito Montemayor, 104, passed away to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 27, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Montemayor was born May 26, 1918, to Benito & Melecia Montemayor in Cerralvo Nuevo Leon Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Altagracia Salas Montemayor. Mr. Montemayor is survived by 5 sons, Benito Montemayor, Jr. (Janie), Jose Montemayor (Connie) of Houston, TX, Roberto Montemayor (Toya), Angel Montemayor (Josie), both of Indiana, Gabriel Montemayor (Oralia) of Houston, TX; 4 daughters, Guadalupe Solis of Sheboygan, WI, Rosa Hernandez (Roberto) of Weslaco, TX, Elva Longoria (Manuel) of Mercedes, TX, & Elizabeth Palmas (Joel) of Seattle, WA. Also, surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2023, with a 1:00 p.m. chapel service at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N. Texas Ave., Weslaco, TX (956) 969-1461.
