Cirila Rios Pineda

Weslaco, TX – Cirila Rios Pineda, 96, passed away to be with the Lord, Friday, December 31, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Rios was born March 18, 1925, to Isidoro & Cruz Almazan, in San Luis Potosi Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Proto Rios; 5 brothers, Alvaro Almazan, Praxedis Almazan, Gabino Almazan, Baldomero Almazan, & Camilo Almazan. Mrs. Rios is survived by 1 son, Michael Herbert Pineda; and 1 daughter, Juana Maria Pineda-Almazan. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren & 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of the Heavens with a 6:00 p.m. rosary. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Michael Luna, Irene Luna, Sonia Luna, Christopher Pineda, Tristen Pineda, & Justin Pineda. Honorary pallbearer will be Gabriel Pineda.
