Dina P. Cavazos, 98, passed away to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Knapp Medical Center. Mrs. Cavazos was born March 14, 1922, to Cruz & Vicenta Perez in Mercedes, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pablo L. Cavazos; 3 brothers, Roman Perez, Cruz Perez, Rafael Perez; & 4 sisters, Paulita Briones, Rebecca Cavazos, Delia Lopez & Clemencia Bautista. Mrs. Cavazos is survived by 3 sons, Gilberto Cavazos (Ama+) of Houston, TX, Pablo Cavazos, Jr. (Irma) of Weslaco, TX, Alfredo “Fred” Cavazos (Elena) of Elsa, TX; 2 daughters, Elia Gonzalez (Arnulfo) of Elsa, TX, Oralia Rodriguez (Guadalupe+) of Edinburg, TX; 1 sister, Amelia Rodriguez of Houston, TX & 1 brother, Raul Perez of Houston, TX. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren & 7 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2020, with a private 7:00 p.m. prayer service at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of the Heavens. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward A. Cavazos, Eric Cavazos, Arnulfo Gonzalez, Jr., Anthony Rodriguez, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Jr. & Brandon Lopez. Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
