Weslaco, TX – Evangelina Rodriguez, 92, passed away to be with the Lord on Friday, February 24, 2023, at her residence. Mrs. Rodriguez was born September 10, 1930, to Andres & Maria Isabel Puente in Garza Valdez Nuevo Leon Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jose Guadalupe Rodriguez; 1 son, Arnulfo Rodriguez; 1 grandson, Jose Guadalupe III; 1 granddaughter, Michelle Lynn Rodriguez-Farmer & 1 brother, Lindolfo Puente. Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her children, Maria Del Carmen Guerra, Juan Jose Rodriguez, Manuela Felch (Carlo), Alicia Rodriguez, Evangelina Montoya, Jose Guadalupe Rodriguez, Jr. (Clara), Leticia Peña (Rolando) all of Weslaco, TX, Violanda Mascorro (Alejandro) of Edcouch, TX, Maria Isabel Cruz (Enderson) of Fort Collins, CO & 1 sister, Anita Rodarte (Rodolfo) of Labelle, FL. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. rosary, Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of the Angels. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Juan Jose Rodriguez, Jr., Santiago Guerra, Jr., Joe Rodriguez, Jr., Michael Cruz, Albert Mascorro, Isaiah Felch, Brian Peña, and Airik Sanchez.  Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Rodriguez, Joseph Peña, and Andrew Cruz.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
