Geronimo Hernandez

Progreso, TX – Geronimo Hernandez, 94, passed away to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 20, 2020 at his residence.  Mr. Hernandez was born May 11, 1926 to Felix & Petra Hernandez in Matamoros Tamaulipas Mexico.  He is preceded in death by his parents.  Mr. Hernandez is survived by 5 sons, Raul Hernandez, Reyes Hernandez, both of Progreso, TX, Geronimo Hernandez, Jr., of Plainview, TX, Jesus Hernandez of North Carolina, Jose Hernandez of McAllen, TX & 2 daughters, Rosie Bocanegra of Arlington, TX & Carmen Treviño of Wichita, KS.  Also surviving are numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of the Heavens, with a 7 p.m. rosary. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Highland Memorial Park.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
