Weslaco, TX – Gonzalo Guajardo, 101, passed away to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Knapp Medical Center. Mr. Guajardo was born June 24, 1921, to Anastacio & Inocencia Guajardo in Teran Nuevo Leon Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Lupe Guajardo, Jose Guajardo, Crispin Guajardo; & 1 sister, Maria Bernal. Mr. Guajardo is survived by his wife, Jesusa Guajardo of Weslaco, TX; 12 children, Victoria Murillo (Robert + ) of Weslaco, TX, Rose Gonzales (Joe Daniel) of Marble Falls, TX, Hermina Cardosa (Adan) of Weslaco, TX, Libby Victor (Bonifacio) of Texas City, TX, Norma Ortega (Chano +) of Mercedes, TX, Leonel Guajardo (Delia) of San Juan, TX, Lilia “Lily” Ortiz (Armando+) of Lufkin, TX, Gonzalo Guajardo, Jr.(Irma +) of Weslaco, TX, Sandy Chrostowski of Denton, TX, Susie Leal (Lupe) of Weslaco, TX, Cruzita Guajardo (Jesse Cruz) of Weslaco, TX, Juan Gavino Guajardo (Dorothy) of Weslaco, TX; 2 brothers, Lucas Guajardo & Nicolas Guajardo, both Rio Bravo Tamaulipas Mexico. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren & 27 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Guerra Funeral Home – Chapel of The Angels with a 6:00 p.m. rosary. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jett Cruz, George Guajardo, Rick Ortega, Matthew Chrostowski, Max Ortiz & Alexander Gonzales. Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
