Guadalupe Rivera Lopez

Weslaco, TX – Guadalupe Rivera Lopez, 77, passed away to be with the Lord, Monday, June 20, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Lopez was born February 5, 1945, to Uvaldo & Antonia Rivera, in Weslaco, TX.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Higinio Lopez, Jr.; 2 brothers, Eubaldo Rivera, Severo Rivera; and 3 sisters, Avelina Rodriguez, Minerva Muñiz, and Olga Ybarra.  Mrs. Lopez is survived by 2 daughters, Veronica Lopez (Chris), Maria Gonzalez (Andrew), both of Weslaco, TX; 2 sons, Eddieneyo Lopez (Sara), Eduardo Lopez (Belinda+), both of Weslaco, TX; 1 brother, Roberto Rivera (Magdalena), of Round Rock , TX; 5 sisters, Yolanda Galan of Gun Barrel, TX, Rosa Villanueva (Manuel) of Mercedes, TX; Juana Garces (Tomas+), Graciela Juarez (Benito+), and Nora Balderas (Ramiro+), all of Weslaco, TX.   Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2022, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens.  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Sergio Moreno, Jr., Adrian Lopez, Adam Lopez, Ryan Gonzalez, Sabrina Moreno, and Julian Espinoza.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
