Hortencia T. Garza

Weslaco, TX – Hortencia T. Garza, 89, passed away to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Harlingen Medical Center.  Mrs. Garza was born April 25, 1933, to Jesus & Aurelia Treviño, in Los Ramones Nuevo Leon Mexico.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor Garza; 3 sons, Felix Garza (Rosalinda), Noe Garza, Guadalupe Garza (Maria Trinidad); & 2 brothers, Reyes Treviño and Gilberto Treviño.  Mrs. Garza is survived by 4 sons, Victor Garza, Jr. (Maria), Ruben Garza, Rene Garza, all of Weslaco, TX, Manuel Garza (Ruth), of Florida; 5 daughters, Yolanda Garza, Elisa Garza, Rachel Garza Byers, all of Weslaco, TX, Delia Garza, of Michigan, Olga Treviño (Ramon), of Florida; 1 brother, Alejandro Treviño, of La Villa, TX, & 1 sister, Ofelia Moreno, of San Juan, TX.  Also surviving are 36 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary. Funeral mass will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023, at St. Pius X Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Ruben Garza, Manuel Garza, Victor Garza III, Ramon Alvarez, Hector Moreno, & Cosme Garza.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
