Jesus Reyes Chavez

Weslaco, TX – Jesus Reyes Chavez, 77, passed away to be with the Lord, Monday, May 15, 2023, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance.  Mr. Chavez was born February 22, 1946, to Cesario & Jovita Chavez in Valle Hermoso Tamaulipas Mexico.  He is preceded in death by his parents.  Mr. Chavez is survived by 5 sons, Jesse Chavez, Miguel Chavez, Conrado Chavez (Nora), Lupe Chavez (Norma), all of Weslaco, TX, Joe Chavez of Austin, TX; & 5 daughters, Jovita Chavez of Arlington, TX, Jessica Chavez Hoekema (T.J.) of Seabrook, TX, Frances Chavez (Luis Avila), Melissa Chavez, & Lupita Rodriguez (Dennis Devito), all of Weslaco, TX.  Also surviving are numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Angels. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church.  Pallbearers will be Juan Antonio Chavez, Jr., Jesus Enrique Chavez, Miguel Chavez, Jr., Luis Avila, Jesse Chavez, & Conrad Jay Chavez.  Interment of cremated remains will be 9:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Highland Memorial Park.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
