Weslaco – Pastor Jose Guadalupe Alemán, 68, a servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, a faithful son, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and a friend to many, left this earth to be crowned by God in Heaven on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Pastor Alemán was born January 28, 1953, in Cd. Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Pastor Alemán is survived by his beloved parents, Guillermo & Ma. De Los Angeles Alemán, his loving wife of 45 years, Elvira Bugarin Alemán of Weslaco, TX; 4 sons, Paul David Williams (Jennifer) of Gastonia, NC., Jose Guadalupe Alemán, Jr. (Laju), Armando Ruben Alemán (Alejandra), Angel Guillermo Alemán (Ilse) all of Weslaco, TX; 5 sisters, Bertha Cedillo, Cristina Alemán, Maria Cardona, Martha Olivo (Adan) and Nancy Vera (Aurelio) of Baytown, TX. Also surviving are his 10 loving grandchildren, Derek Paul Williams, Devin Alexander Williams, Zachary Ryan Williams, Samina Sofia Alemán, Anayah Anahi Alemán, Armaan Jose Alemán, Gabriel Armando Alemán, Vivian Emilia Alemán, Gema Alessandra Alemán, Isabella Alemán & great grandson Colin Jacob Williams.
We give God thanks and all the honor and glory for giving us Pastor Alemán, the faithful spiritual leader of Iglesia del Dios Vivo – Hargill and earthly pillar of our family. He was a visionary, a hero, a strong tower, a praying warrior, a defender of the faith, a church builder, a spiritual leader and inspiration to many, and a friend to everybody-everywhere. He boldly professed the Holy Word of God to all who would listen. Pastor Alemán was employed with Weslaco I.S.D. for 38 years.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021 and 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2021 with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service both nights at Family Life Ministries. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Family Life Ministries. Officiating will be Rev. Elias Treviño, Pastor. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Paul David Williams, Jose Guadalupe Alemán, Jr., Armando Ruben Alemán, Angel Guillermo Alemán, Carlos E. Lopez & Efrain Torres Rivero.
