Obituary
Jose Medrano, 91, passed away to be with the Lord, Monday, June 5, 2023, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in McAllen, TX. Mr. Medrano was born December 26, 1931, to Albino & Fidela Medrano in Saltillo Coahuila Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Teofila Mata, and Maria Marcos Medrano. Mr. Medrano is survived by his seven children, Juan Carlos Medrano (Nora), Marta Elena Ramos (Raul), both of Weslaco, TX, Adrian Medrano (Janie) of Odessa, TX, Sofia Lorena Mata (Gilbert), Sonia Perez (Roque), Jo Maldonado (Isidro), all of Weslaco, TX, Jose Medrano, Jr. of Fort Bragg, NC; and one sister, Nestora Medrano of Weslaco, TX. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Raul Ramos, Juan Carlos Medrano, Jose Medrano, Jr., Isidro Maldonado, Gilbert Mata, and Roque Perez. Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N. Texas Ave., Weslaco, TX (956) 969-1461.
