Weslaco, TX – Juan Quintanilla, 71, passed away to be with the Lord, Monday, October 25, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Quintanilla was born October 30, 1949, to Rosendo & Julia Quintanilla, in Weslaco, TX, and was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Armed Forces. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Jesus “Jesse” Quintanilla; & 2 sisters, Elvira Quintanilla, & Elida Longoria. Mr. Quintanilla is survived by his wife, Aurora Quintanilla of Weslaco, TX; 1 son, Juan Quintanilla, Jr. of Weslaco, TX; 2 daughters, Jessica Quintanilla, of Weslaco, TX, Julie Ann Guerra (Hector Eloy, Jr.) of Harlingen, TX; 3 brothers, Rosendo Quintanilla, Jr., Rene Quintanilla, both of Weslaco, TX, & Guadalupe Quintanilla of Indiana. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Janai Nicole Quintanilla, Jacob Eloy Guerra, & Mia Grace Marquez. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a 6:00 p.m. rosary, Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens. Celebrant will be Deacon Sergio Gonzalez. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Juan Quintanilla, Jr., Juan Llanes, Trinidad Quintanilla, Bobby Rodriguez, Justin Quintanilla & Eddie Saenz.
