Juanita C. Araiza

Weslaco, TX – Juanita C. Araiza, 82, passed away to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 30, at Briarcliff Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McAllen.  Mrs. Araiza was born March 8, 1941, to Silvestre & Micaela Cruz in San Juan, TX.  Mrs. Araiza had 5 brothers & 5 sisters.  She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Jesus Isidro Araiza.  She is survived by 5 children, Jesus Isidro Araiza, Jr., David Gabriel Araiza, both of McAllen, TX, Norma Gonzales (Aaron) of Harlingen, TX, Oscar Araiza (Mary Ann) of Weslaco, TX, & Alma Elizabeth Araiza (Mrs. Deborah Araiza) of Pasadena, TX.  Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Jessica Jane Araiza, Lonnie Ramirez, Angela Araiza, Elizabeth Roberts, Christopher Ray Araiza, Angela Gonzales, Oscar Josue Araiza, Ariana Janae Araiza, & 7 great-grandchildren.   Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of the Angels, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary.  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jesus Isidro Araiza, Jr., David Gabriel Araiza, Oscar Araiza, Alma Elizabeth Araiza, Oscar Josue Araiza, & Christopher Ray Araiza.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
