Weslaco, TX – Juanita Garza, 100, passed away to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 16, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Garza was born May 16, 1922, to Pedro & Eugenia Cruz in Harlingen, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel Garza; & 5 brothers, Narciso Cruz, Margarito Cruz, Ignacio Cruz, Reducindo Cruz, & Teofilo Cruz. Mrs. Garza is survived by 2 sons, Daniel Garza, Jr. of Weslaco, TX, Joel E. Garza (Tracy) of Edinburg, TX; 3 daughters, Elizabeth Teran (Jose+) of Lakehills, TX, Maria E. Rito (Stacy) of Columbus, OH, Hortencia Sillence (Thomas H. Jr.) of Boerne, TX; 1 brother, Geronimo Cruz of Primera, TX; & 3 sisters, Olivia Gutierrez of Primera, TX, Amelia Gonzalez of Combes, TX, & Aurora Ortiz of Harlingen, TX. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Guerra Funeral Home Weslaco - Chapel of The Angels with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service. Graveside service will be 9:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2022, at Highland Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. Ernesto Garza. Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N. Texas Ave., Weslaco, TX (956) 969-1461.
