Manuel Alaniz

Weslaco, TX – Manuel Alaniz, 84, passed away to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital.  Mr. Alaniz was born December 7, 1936, to Francisco & Angelita Alaniz in Cadereyta Nuevo Leon Mexico.  He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Noel Alaniz, Victor Alaniz; & 1 daughter, Nora Regalado.  Mr. Alaniz is survived by his wife, Irene Alaniz, of Weslaco, TX; 1 son, Manuel Alaniz, Jr., of Weslaco, TX; 3 daughters, Odilia Alaniz, Olivia Rodriguez, Rubi Mora (Alex), all of Weslaco, TX; 4 brothers, Armando Alaniz, Domingo Alaniz, Joel Alaniz, Michael Alaniz, all of Weslaco, TX; 3 sisters, Nena Pedraza, of Florida, Juanita Balli, of Edinburg, TX & Emma Solis, of Harlingen, TX.  Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, & 3 great-great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 12, 2021, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Manuel Alaniz III, Christian Jade Castro, Ronnie Rodriguez, Jr., Jacob Regalado, Sefe Regalado, Jr., & Robert Victor Morales.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
