Manuel Cantu

Manuel Cantu, 50, passed away to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at his residence in Weslaco, TX.  Mr. Cantu was born December 30, 1969 to Maria Elena Cantu in Elsa, TX.  He is preceded in death by his mother; 1 son, Armando Roman; his step-father who raised him, Guadalupe Moreno & 2 brothers, Emilio Moreno & Jose Guadalupe Moreno.  Mr. Cantu is survived by his wife, Maria Sylvia Cantu of Weslaco, TX; 3 sons, Martin Roman of Michigan, Manuel Cantu, Jr, Daniel Cantu, both of Weslaco, TX; 2 daughters, Elda Sosa of Killeen, TX, Candelaria Cantu of Weslaco, TX; & 1 brother, Ruben Cantu of Weslaco, TX.  Also surviving are 8 grandchildren.  Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020 with a 6:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens.  Graveside service will be 9:00 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2020 at Highland Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Manuel Rodriguez, Ernie Martinez, Rick Quintanilla, Maria Dolores Roman, Chris Rodriguez & Ruben Cantu.  Honorary pallbearers will be Martin Roman & Daniel Cantu.     Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, 2602 N.
