Maria Cruz Rodriguez, 87, passed away to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital.  Mrs. Rodriguez was born April 15, 1933, to Geronimo & Virginia Garza in Los Ramones Nuevo Leon Mexico.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Geronimo & Virginia Garza; her husband, Rosendo Gonzalez; 1 daughter, Andrea Rodriguez; 4 brothers, Esteban Garza, Jose Garza, Geronimo Garza, Lorenzo Garza; 2 sisters, Enedelia Gonzalez, Irene Garza; 2 half-brothers, Geronimo Garza, Eugenio Garza & 1 half-sister, Nicolasa Garza.  She is survived by 3 sons, Rosendo Rodriguez, Jr. of Nebraska, Arnoldo Rodriguez of Washington, Adan Rodriguez of Weslaco, TX; 4 daughters, Placida Guajardo, Lucia Rodriguez, Maria C. Rodriguez, Eva Rodriguez, all of Weslaco, TX; 1 brother, Lucio Garza of Edinburg, TX & 1 sister, Lidia Mendiola of La Grulla, TX.  Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of the Heavens, with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
