Weslaco, TX – Maria G. Gonzalez, 95, passed away to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Aurora House Foundation. Mrs. Gonzalez was born on January 12, 1928, to Guadalupe & Salome Garza in China Nuevo Leon Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Toribio Gonzalez; 1 son, Julian Gonzalez; 1 daughter, Mirthala Ruvalcaba; 1 brother, Eustacio Garza; 4 sisters, Ofelia Anaya, Eva Rodriguez, Angelica Ramirez & Adela Salinas. Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by 2 sons, Mario Gonzalez of China Nuevo Leon Mexico, Jesus Gonzalez (Sonia) of Weslaco, TX; 2 daughters, Lupe Ruvalcaba (Ismael) of Ontario, CA & Maria Cardona (David) of Santa Ana, CA. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2023, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens. She will be laid to rest at Panteon Municipal De China Nuevo Leon Mexico. Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N. Texas Ave., Weslaco, TX (956) 969-1462.
