Weslaco, TX – Maria R. Perez, 87, passed away to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 8, 2021, at her residence.  Mrs. Perez was born May 20, 1934, to Paulo & Rosa Belen Reyes in Cruillas Tamaulipas Mexico.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carmen P. Perez; 3 daughters; 1 brother & 3 sisters. Mrs. Perez is survived by 2 sons, Carmen Perez, Juan Pablo Perez both of Weslaco, TX; 3 daughters, Zenaida Polanco of San Juan, TX, Celia Ramos of Weslaco, TX & Minerva Perez of Donna, TX; 1 brother, Concepcion Reyes of Cruillas Tamaulipas Mexico.  Also surviving are 10 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.   Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of the Heavens.  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Juan Ramos, Jr.., Alejandro Perez, Pablo Perez, Nathan Belmarez, David Aguilar & Armando Perez.
