Maria Del Socorro Lopez Sandoval

Weslaco, TX – Maria Del Socorro Lopez Sandoval, 74, passed away to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Valley Baptist Medical Center.  Ms. Lopez was born November 30, 1946, to Martin & Francisca Lopez in Leon Guanajuato Mexico.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Francisca Lopez.  Mrs. Lopez is survived by 2 sons, Francisco Javier Lopez, of Weslaco, TX, Eugenio Edgar Lopez, of San Antonio, TX; her father, Martin Lopez of Weslaco, TX; 3 brothers, Raul Lopez, of Chicago, IL, Ismael Lopez, Andres Lopez, both of Weslaco, TX; 8 sisters, Lupita Lopez, Irma Rodriguez, Maria Alma Lopez, Sylvia Dominguez, Renata Vela, Alejandra Treviño, Juliana Loera, all of Weslaco, TX, & Elvia Rodriguez, of Donna, TX.  Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Crystal Lynn Lopez, Carla Lennette Lopez, Karime Lorraine Lopez, Kate Lynn Lopez, Frida Lopez, Eugenio Lopez, Jr., & Javier Lopez.  Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2021, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of the Heavens.  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021, at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church.
