Ofelia L. Garza

Ofelia L. Garza, 71, passed away to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at her residence.  Mrs. Garza was born October 7, 1951, to Antonio & Edmunda Longoria in Matamoros Tamaulipas Mexico.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Juan M. Garza; 3 brothers & 3 sisters.  Mrs. Garza is survived by 2 sons, Juan Garza, Jr. of Weslaco, TX, Adam Garza (Rebecca) of Edinburg, TX; 1 brother, Anselmo “Chemo” Longoria of Matamoros Tamaulipas Mexico; 3 sisters, Delia Longoria, Concha Castillo both of Matamoros Tamaulipas Mexico, Gloria Juarez of Weslaco, TX, Guadalupe Coronado of La Marque, TX & Teresa Ortiz of Marion, TX.  Also surviving are 2 granddaughters, Eva Garza & Savannah Garza. Visitation will be held 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 10, 2023, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Angels with a 6:00 p.m. rosary. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
