Orfelinda Zepeda Handy

Elsa, TX – Orfelinda Zepeda Handy, 74, passed away to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Knapp Medical Center.  Mrs. Handy was born December 13, 1946 to Pedro & Margarita Zepeda in Matamoros Tamaulipas Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Handy; daughter, Melissa Ann Handy; 2 brothers, Alonso Zepeda, Enrique Zepeda; & 2 sisters, Irene Silva & Enedina Hernandez. Mrs. Handy is survived by 2 brothers, Adan Zepeda of San Juan, TX, Abel Zepeda of San Antonio, TX; 3 sisters, Paulita Treviño of Elsa, TX, Guadalupe Lugo of Parlier, CA & Evangelina Cazares of San Antonio, TX. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary.  Graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery.  Officiating will be Deacon Jerry Rosa.  Pallbearers will be Oscar Silva, Cesar Zepeda, Fernando Silva, Jr., Americo Flores, Juan Rodriguez, & Abel Zepeda, Jr.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
