Weslaco, TX – Rick Treviño, 54, passed away to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Hospice in Edinburg, TX. Mr. Treviño was born March 30, 1969, to Juan Francisco & Blanca Treviño in Weslaco, TX. He was a United States Navy veteran and an avid hunter and fisherman. He is preceded in death by his father, Juan Francisco Treviño. Mr. Treviño is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Norma Linda Treviño of Weslaco, TX; five sons, Ethan W. Treviño of Park Hills, MO, Qwilliarn Treviño of Fort Campbell, KY, Taylor Treviño of Park Hills, MO, Ruben Zuniga, Jr., Leroy Zuniga (Carolyn), both of Weslaco, TX; two brothers, Theodore Treviño (Rocio) of Houston, TX, William Treviño (Tyann) of Dallas, TX; his mother, Blanca Treviño of Weslaco, TX, and one sister, Christina Treviño of Weslaco, TX. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Ruben James, Blaise, Marley, Elora, and Misael; six nieces and nephews, Vanisha, Olivia, Theodore Jr., Russell, Cameron, and Korben; and one great-niece, Sophia. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of the Angels. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Francisco Solis. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Qwilliarn Treviño, Ruben Zuniga, Leroy Zuniga, Theodore Treviño, William Treviño, Lonnie Castañeda, Israel “Kon” Maldonado, and Roland Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Ruben James Zuniga, Marley Zuniga, Elora Zuniga, and Roy Garcia. Military auspices are under the direction of VFW Post 2410 of Harlingen, TX.
