Ricky Perez

Weslaco, TX – Ricky Perez, 50, passed away to be with the Lord, Friday, June 23, 2023, in Donna, TX.  Ricky was born February 13, 1973, in Pahokee, FL.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Hernandez; maternal grandfather, Jesus Martinez; 1 granddaughter, Aubrey Grace Hernandez; and two nephews, Jonathan Sanchez, and Stephen Jude Perez.  He is survived by three sons, Bryan Hernandez, Jacob Perez, Zachary Perez, all of Rosharon, TX; his parents, Eduardo & Dilia Velasquez, of Harlingen, TX; one brother, Esteban Perez (Sonia), of Weslaco, TX; one sister, Elaine Lopez (Daniel) of Combs, TX; maternal grandmother, Maria B. Martinez, of Weslaco, TX; five nephews, Kaz Ra Martinez (Yuri), Kinjo Martinez, Daniel Lopez, Jasper Blu Martinez; Jalen Torres; and two nieces, Sha’uri Martinez, and Jamie Muñiz.  Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2023, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of the Angels. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at St. Pius X Catholic Church.  Officiating will be Deacon Sergio Gonzalez.  Interment will follow at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park in La Feria, TX. Pallbearers will be Esteban Perez, Albert Peña, Gilbert Mendez, Bobby Silva, Peter Mendez, and John Paul Martinez.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
