Rosa Maria Onitveros

Weslaco, TX – Rosa Maria Ontiveros, 59, passed away to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at her residence in Weslaco, TX.  Mrs. Ontiveros was born February 22, 1961 to Jose V. & Esperanza Cardona in Rio Bravo Tamaulipas Mexico.  She is preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Yolanda Cardona.  Mrs. Ontiveros is survived by her husband, Faustino Ontiveros of Weslaco, TX; 2 sons, Daniel Garcia, Faustino Ontiveros, Jr., both of Weslaco, TX; 2 daughters, Sarah Guadalupe Peña of San Juan, TX, Maria Teresa Alonzo of Donna, TX; 5 brothers, Jose Santos Espinoza of Arizona, Rene Cardona, Domingo Cardona, Jose Cardona, Jr., all of Weslaco, TX, Armando Cardona of Alamo, TX; 10 sisters, Ana Benavidez, Maria Charqueño, Alicia Martinez, Ester Mena, Rebecca Tafolla, all of Weslaco, TX, Librada Lomas of Mercedes, TX, Noemi Murillo of Victoria, TX, Evangelina Garcia of Waco, TX, Yolanda Camarena of Donna, TX, & Martha Granados of Missouri.  Also surviving are 17 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens, with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service.  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens.  Officiating will be Rev. Rebecca Tafolla.  Interment will follow at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Faustino Ontiveros III, Benjamin Ramirez, Eliud Peña, Orlando Alonzo, Jeremiah Ramirez & Emmanuel Peña.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
