San Juana R. Alejandro

Elsa, TX – San Juana R. Alejandro, 85, passed away to be with the Lord, Friday, August 11, 2023, at McAllen Heart Hospital.  Mrs. Alejandro was born February 17, 1938, to Jose & Candelaria Rodriguez, in Rio Hondo, TX.  She is preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Reynaldo Alejandro; 1 grandson, Juan Manuel Perez; 3 brothers, Pedro Rodriguez, Arturo Rodriguez, Lupe Rodriguez; & 2 sisters, Marcelina Cerda, and Concepcion Gonzalez.   Mrs. Alejandro is survived by 1 daughter, Flor Estela Alejandro Rodriguez (Leroy), of Elsa, TX; 2 sons, Rojelio Alejandro, Jr. (Idalia), Martin Alejandro (Esmeralda “Laly”), both of Elsa, TX; 1 daughter-in-law, Velma Alejandro, of Elsa, TX; 4 brothers, Jesus “Chuy” Rodriguez (Mela), of Dallas, TX, Rogerio Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Jr., both of Harlingen, TX, Refugio Rodriguez, of San Antonio, TX;  & 1 sister, Celia Walker (Don), of Alaska.  Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2023, with a 7:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Angels.  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2023, at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch, TX.  Officiating will be Deacon Jerry Rosa.  Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Rojelio Alejandro, Jr., Martin Alejandro, Kristian Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez, Orlando Niño, & Leroy Rodriguez.  Honorary pallbearer will be Samuel Oceguera.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
