Sara Escobar

Weslaco, TX – Sara Escobar, 73, passed away to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.  Mrs. Escobar was born December 9, 1947 to Nicolas & Alicia Rodriguez in San Luis Potosi Mexico.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Manuel Escobar, Jr., 1 daughter, Arcelia Tinajero, 1 great-grandson, Carlos Treviño, 2 brothers, Ruben Rodriguez & Martin Resendiz. Mrs. Escobar is survived by 2 sons, Rufino Tinajero of Leon Guanajuato Mexico, Juan Tinajero of Weslaco, TX; 2 daughters, Erica Gift of Weslaco, TX, Guadalupe Ochoa of Sinton, TX; 3 brothers, Adrian Rodriguez of Kewanee, IL, Cesar Resendiz of San Luis Potosi Mexico, Francisco Flores of Nuevo Progreso Tamaulipas Mexico; 3 sisters, Agustina Sanchez of Weslaco, TX, Leticia Resendiz of San Luis Potosi Mexico, Natalia Resendiz of Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at Weslaco City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bayron Treviño, Lucky Treviño, Jason Treviño, Jesus Tinajero, Juan Tinajero, Jr. & Nathan Gift.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
