Weslaco, TX – Servando Hinojosa, Jr., 80, passed away to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Knapp Medical Center. Mr. Hinojosa was born December 11, 1941, to Servando, Sr. & Aida Hinojosa, in Ciudad Mier Tamaulipas Mexico, and was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, Javier Omar Hinojosa & 1 sister, Iliana Garcia. Mr. Hinojosa is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Hinojosa of Weslaco, TX; 1 son, Ruben Adrian Hinojosa (Jessica) of McAllen, TX; 3 brothers, Eden Hinojosa (Berta), Noe Hinojosa & Robert Hinojosa (Marla) all of Weslaco, TX. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Victoria Jae Hinojosa, Connor Joaquin Hinojosa & Rogan Diego Hinojosa. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens. Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens. Celebrant will be Pastor Tom Shidler. Interment will follow at RGV State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, TX. Pallbearers will be Noe Hinojosa, Jr., Joshua Hinojosa, Eric Martinez, Isai Cuellar, Eric Castillo & Omar Rivera. Military auspices will be under the direction of Sgt. Benito Alaniz, V.F.W. Post # 7473, of Elsa, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
