Socorro Guerrero

Weslaco, TX – Socorro Guerrero, 94, passed away to be with the Lord on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Weslaco Nursing and Rehabilitation.  Mrs. Guerrero was born April 10, 1926 to Jesus & Maria Gonzalez in Oaxaca Mexico.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rafael Guerrero; 2 brothers, Enrique Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez; & 2 sisters, Evangelina Gonzalez & Piedad Gonzalez.  Mrs. Guerrero is survived by 1 son, Rafael A Guerrero (Azusena) of Chicago; 1 daughter, Yolanda Guerrero (Fernando Salinas) of Weslaco, TX; & 1 brother, Tobias Gonzalez of California.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren.  Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Heavens with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service.  Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Mercedes Memorial Restlawn.  Officiating will be Pastor Eddie Gonzalez.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
