Weslaco, TX – Thelma “Tammy” Rivera, 60, passed away to be with the Lord, Monday, March 27, 2023, at Knapp Medical Center.  Mrs. Rivera was born October 11, 1962, to Eliberto, Jr. & Otila Gonzalez in Osceola, AR. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Johnny Rivera. Mrs. Rivera is survived by 2 sons, Johnny Rivera (Emilie) of Sugarland, TX, Daniel Rivera (Joanie) of Edinburg, TX; 2 daughters, Daisy Solis (Hector), Tia Lopez (Joel) both of Weslaco, TX; 4 sisters, Cindy De La Garza (Robert) of Corpus Christi, TX, Maxine Guajardo, Lisa Gonzalez, Diana Gonzalez all of Weslaco, TX & half-brother, Eliberto Gonzalez, III of Weslaco, TX. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Angels with a 6:00 p.m. rosary. Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Joel Lopez, Hector Solis, Bobby De La Garza, Robert De La Garza, Andrew Gonzalez & Blake Arthur Bloomquist. Honorary pallbearers will be Jameson Jett Rivera, Miles Ace Rivera, Tristan Solis, Riley Gonzalez, Nicolas Aquiningoc & Maximiliano Aquiningoc. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N. Texas Ave., Weslaco, TX (956) 969-1461.
